Capobianco Designs was founded by Karen Capobianco in 1982 in Soho . Karen holds a BA Jewelry and Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design; an MS in Intermedia Design, SUNY New Paltz, a BA in Art Eduction. She has a professional Art Teacher Certification and and a certificate in Art Therapy. 

Karen has sold her original work in galleries in seven countries, some stores that have sold her work include  the Smithsonian Store,  the MHDE Museum Store, Barneys and Saxs Fifth Avenue. Her pieces have also been featured on the front cover of Vogue, Elle, other large publications.
